We are so proud of bringing our community together to enjoy each others creative spirit, love, and support. Shopping Event Showcases Brazen Art, Avant-Garde Fashion & Hand-Crafted Designs at the Brecht Forum!

NEW YORK, NY November 21, 2011 — On Saturday, December 17, 2011, the LADIES LOVE PROJECT presents its third POP-UP SHOP at the West Village Brecht Forum, 451 West Street from 12pm – 8pm. The PROJECT, a brainchild of renowned street artist TOOFLY and sound sensation PattyDukes of the Circa95 duo, highlights some of NYC’s most creative underground artists and designers.  The one-day-only holiday event boasts an intimate, yet extraordinarily colorful market experience designed to familiarize consumers, media and tastemakers with established artists.

The large group of talented designers will be exhibiting one of a kind, limited edition, handcrafted goods just in time for the holidays! Featured market designers and artists Toofly, Good Wood NYC, Junkprints, Vanilla Medallions, Marka27, Antonio Kel 5MH, while several other brands will be in attendance. Music across all genres will be provided by iPod DJ’s Rephstar (of Circa95), Ben Ferrari, Jacina Love, and Slik Nik The Ruler. A live broadcasting of the event will be streamed at www.Circa95.com, while complimentary holiday treats by Jenny Kinns Cupcakes and Mi Isla Coquito by Millie will help promote the holiday cheer! Exclusive event photography will be taken by Samantha Morales with video by Barrio Media.

The Brecht Forum, a celebrated art and community space located in Greenwhich Village plays host to the eclectic mix of prosperous and established talent. Art pieces on canvas, tote bags, jewelry, t-shirts, graffiti, live music—you name it— the LADIES LOVE PROJECT HOLIDAY POP-UP SHOP doesn’t get any more New York than this! “Having the LADIES LOVE PROJECT POP-UP SHOP in our space was a perfect fit,” says Max, Manager of The Brecht Forum space. “All of the vendors have styles that honor old New York, but each demonstrates a unique progression with great, must-have, niche items.”

About TOOFLY:
Maria Castillo a.k.a. TOOFLY is an NYC artist, community builder, and entrepreneur. Recognized in the early 90’s for her hard and fluid character style, she gained popularity as one of the few females in a male-dominated graffiti scene who created work to empower women. In 2007 she co-founded a 100+ international female arts collective she entitled YOUNITY. Toofly now runs a successful independent design company called STAY TRU where she consults, designs, and develops urban art youth workshops. Toofly’s constant and active role in her community allows her to stay true to her roots, as she continues to draw raw feelings from the ever-changing world around her. Her work has exhibited at the Bronx Museum of Art, and can be found in various galleries, public walls, and print publications like Graffiti Women, Juxtapoz, and television programs like Latination TV.

About Patty Dukes:
Patty Dukes is Co-Founder of Circa ’95,a Hip-Hop music and media group that curates a daily blog, host an original web series and features innovative urban artists from around the world. Rhyming seamlessly through English and Spanish, the duo PattyDukes & Rephstar perform all over the U.S. and have graced the stage with artists like Krs-One, Pitbull, and NinaSky. HBO Latino is currently featuring them in a show called “RoadTrip: NYC” and “Habla Ya”. Circa ’95 has recently released their debut EP titled “Free Lunch,” available via www.circa95.com.

About A.Mari:
Allison Maritza is Co-President of F.O.K.U.S. – a non-profit arts organization based in NYC and Ann Arbor, MI. ” As a Colombian in Brooklyn, I believe there is passion in all that we do, who we are, and where we are coming from and going. For me, art is life.. art is a global sanctuary for all of us to learn, share and grow with one another.”

About RephStar
RephStar is the Co-Founder of Circa ’95, a Hip-Hop music and media group.  As a MC, producer and mixed media visual artist, Reph visions his work as a reflection of the human experience through the eyes of the Hip-Hop generation.  HBO is currently featuring Circa ‘95 in a show called “RoadTrip: NYC.”  Reph’s production and voice is featured in the underground animated sensation Three Thug Mice and he is the founder of The Rhyme Factory, a non-profit organization set up to support youth as they pursue a career in Hip-Hop.  Circa ’95 has recently released their debut EP titled “Free Lunch,” available via www.circa95.com.
