Comic Con 2011 is in NYC this week! Oct 12-16th at the Javits Center. I was invited by The Art Hustle team to do a signing for my very own collector trading card from Series 1. This is the first time I have ever been to Comic Con and I must say it ROCKS!!! I need to be up in here next year. The amount of character driver art, merchandise, and collector pieces is unbelievable. I’ve been to the licensing show before but this is definately the place to be, especially for illustrators, and animators. Shout out to my hommie, artist/toy designer/animator KANO who stopped by to support. Great seeing ya! To all the folks I got a chance to build with, and familiar faces that took it back to junior high, Thank you!

(((Drumroll please ))) Toofly’s “HEY LADIES” limited edition art prints are officially SOLD OUT! That’s right, let the collector frenzy begin. It took a minute but 150 prints are now in the hands of the very few people who made the investment to own my very first print series:) THANK YOU ALL for your support. I enjoyed creating these silk screen illustrations because it gave my a chance to create a collectors set that can easily travel. The series showcased at various galleries and spaces around the world. They also gave me the opportunity to help others when it came to donating art for fundraisers, and charities. Making art prints of my work is a great way to spread the love, and now it’s time to work on a new series! Super excited….can you guess what’s coming? I can’t wait to share…

The first of many events in December is taking place at a beauuuuuuuutiful artist space in Tribeca called SPACE ON WHITE. This time around TOOFLY & JUNKPRINTS are teaming up for SHOP CREATIVE to re-create the 2nd floor space into an oasis of fly goodies! For one day only our duo steelo will set up shop, art, fashion accessories, vintage goods, jewelry, t-shirts and much more. We have plenty of seating space for our guests. Stop by to chillax and enjoy a 3 floor vendor market, music, and treats. Don’t miss it! December madness kicks off here;)

Space on White is a socially conscious space for artists located in Tribeca, New York City. Artists or organizations can rent out studios that cater to acting, music, and dance rehearsal. Our great energy and environment encourages collaboration and growth for artists and their audiences. The open, spacious designs of the spaces act as blank canvases that are committed to the artist first and foremost. Artists we discovered early that we had an innate desire to create and share. And we communicated our most sensitive feelings and ideas through our art and sought to inspire others by it. Along the way we found that in order to make money off the art we loved to create we had to submit it to the dishearteningly arbitrary scrutiny of directors, agents, and curators. SooOOoooooo EXCITED!!! The TOOFLY X UPPER PLAYGROUND Capsule Collection has finally been released. The t-shirts look great! I can’t wait to rock em’. Check out the close ups of the illustrations below. I was on some new zone when I created these pieces a year ago. Time did not exist. All I wanted to do was express a energy flow that was coming from some amazing place you can’t even see but just feel. Yeah…it’s some energy quantum physics shit.
