SooOOoooooo EXCITED!!! The TOOFLY X UPPER PLAYGROUND Capsule Collection has finally been released.  The t-shirts look great! I can’t wait to rock em’. Check out the close ups of the illustrations below. I was on some new zone when I created these pieces a year ago. Time did not exist. All I wanted to do was express a energy flow that was coming from some amazing place you can’t even see but just feel.  Yeah…it’s some energy quantum physics shit. Consciousness and Pink Floyd are a great mix for an afternoon of art & design:) ENJOY!

My new FREESTYLE Eco-Block rings are ready! Sorry it took me so long to get these up on the shop. Figured I better post them soon so ya’ll have something new and colorful to give that special sistah for the holidays. I was going to wait until spring 2010 to release them but I get too excited when they’re laying around my studio. Shout out to my sister Joanne for helping me paint them while listening to our favorite tunes. Handcrafted in Ecuador baby! Keeping it in the fam…

Yesterday’s Younity Art & Designer MARKIT was a sunny successs!!! From dope handmade goods, fresh artwork, designer T’s, to the valiadas and hot dogs on the grill by Father Tom and the parish crew. Our peeps came through and showed maaaaaaad LOVE! Dj Jedi, and Dj Disco Wiz killed it on the 1 & 2’s playing the best in Hip Hops classics and Freestyle. Bboyz, and BGirlz would of loved it. Ya def up in the mix next time without a doubt. Can’t wait!!! Got lot’s more stuff planned for Markit#2 The Lady of Sorrows parish is down for us, that’s why I love COMMUNITY. Real recognize real;) Bringing together fresh creative talent to our hoods one summer at a time. Look out for the HOLIDAY MARKET in the works for December. As part of the FAT CAP project, the Kidrobot crew took my little 2D design and rocked a guy’s T’. For all the fellas out there who’ve been asking me about doing some guy wear here you go! ( if your into the funkadelic colors ) Still wondering why the “0″ is missing in my bubble piece though? LOL!

Kidrobot’s apparel line has been a huge success ever since its launch back in 2006, selling out almost every single piece they’ve released. Creating their own designs as well as teaming up with creative minds like those of French graffiti artist Tilt, San Francisco artist/designer Huck Gee, and streetwear label Lemar and Dauley, the Kidrobot team has assembled a killer line of hoodies and t-shirts for both men and women. The great thing is that they didn’t just make clothing that sports the Kidrobot logo, but instead created creative and inspiring streetwear that represents the culture that surrounds the vinyl toy and urban art scene. Everything is limited edition so don’t sleep!

Got an invitation from my hommie Jessica Green while I was away to do a short presentation with Destroy&Rebuild following the SPRAY MASTERS film screening. Gonna try and bridge our 90’s foundation with the present state of urban arts culture / education alongside some of the pioneers who paved the way for us:) Jessica’s been mad supportive of the positive roles we play in helping to preserve, evolve, and continue this story. Since the golden days of STRESS ( Best magazine EVER!!! ) all has not been lost! Whew. Happy to see her and the crew on the inside of these events. We def need more folks from our own community, in it! Makes a HUUUUUUUGE difference. Thanks girl!.

Sooooooo it turns out my Toofly Dunny was chosen for a collaboration project between Kidrobot and jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino. Went to check them out on her site and I was like whoa $163.00? WHAT!!! yea I know…where’s my cut is all I gotta ask. Looks like it’s gonna be another day in the life of intellectual property rights…

Been working on a bunch of illustration T designs this month. Happy I got back into drawing, it had been a serious minute since I pulled out the pencil and paper. My first batch is done, and I’m def on my new flow. It’s been there…slowly unraveling until I was ready to wake up and see what it all meant. Remnants of it now embedded forever on plastic, fabric, and paper. It’s finally making sense! I’m pretty damn excited!!! gotta grind…
